Watson Lake to Whitehorse Flight Service

Alkan Air is proud to provide regularly scheduled flight service between Whitehorse and Watson Lake two times per week.

Alkan Air is also partnering with Budget Whitehorse to provide rental vehicles at the Watson Lake Airport, including one-way rentals so that passengers can fly one way and return by car and is also working with a local service provider to offer a ground transportation option.

A one-way ticket for the one hour and 15 minute flight between Watson Lake and Whitehorse is $325/person and flight passes are now available.

  • Dangerous goods are charged at double the applicable rate and $50 processing fee.
  • Live animals must be shipped at a priority rate and a minimum charge of $50 is applied.
  • Additional charge(s) for pick-up and delivery.
  • Freight requiring special handling must be shipped at priority rate and may be subject to special handling charges.
  •  Freight charges will be assessed on the greater of the actual or dimensional weight. Dimensional weight = length (inches) x width (inches) x height (inches) ÷ 173 = lbs.
  • Taxes, fees and fuel/navigational surcharges will be applied to all shipments.
